Turning Concept into Reality

Watch Video
The North Carolina Housing Foundation, Inc. (NCHF) had developed a concept for a new housing and educational program for the homeless. The program goal is to transition the homeless to contributing citizens. They needed a collaborator to transform the concept into a solid business plan that explained the project to key partners and to translate the plan into fundraising materials that informed, moved and motivated donors.

Building a Solid Foundation

Concentrics leveraged its business experience to develop a plan that explained the logic and efficacy of the approach and programs for The SECU Commons project. While the goal of transitioning homeless participants into contributing citizens sounded challenging, NCHF’s partners bought in and embraced the plan – agreeing to work together to raise $5 million to initiate the program.

Reaching the Goal

To support the capital campaign, Concentrics created a complement of materials – collateral, presentation, website and video. Each piece was designed to explain the concept, convince donors of the effectiveness of the program, capture their empathy and motivate them to donate. The campaign resulted in over $5 million being raised and the future of Winston-Salem’s homeless turning brighter.
